FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything below restates a fact already published elsewhere on this site: the press kit, the careers page, the open commission or the landing. Quote any of it as-is.
What is Upper Int Games?
Upper Int Games is an independent game studio founded in 2026 and run remotely from Brazil. It builds mobile-first games with momentum: titles that respect your time and reward your skill.
Where is the studio based?
Brazil. It is a remote studio.
When was Upper Int Games founded?
2026.
Which games has Upper Int Games released?
None announced yet. Several titles are in production. The studio does not publish fake screenshots or invented names: each slot on the site unlocks the day its game is revealed.
What kind of games does the studio make?
Mobile-first idle, RPG and arcade experiences that fit in a pocket, built on three pillars: craft, every mechanic tuned until it feels right; fair play, player-first economies with no paywalls dressed as gameplay; and longevity, games supported long after launch.
Is Upper Int Games hiring?
Yes, six art roles are open: character animation, environments and tile kits, character concept, Spine rigging, UI and icon families, and 2D VFX. Remote, per project, with a paid trial. Details on the careers page.
Do you hire programmers or engineers?
Not right now. Every open role is an art role. Engineering is explicitly out of scope for the current openings.
How does the art commission work?
It starts with one paid trial character: an idle loop and an attack animation at the agreed game scale. If the fit is good, the studio intends to commission the remaining characters and the enemy in additional paid milestones, ideally with the same artist for consistency.
Can I take a single character instead of the whole roster?
Yes. Individual characters are commissioned and paid the same way. The roster is not all-or-nothing, so you can take as much or as little of it as fits your schedule.
How and when do you pay?
Up to 50% of the agreed value upfront, and the remaining 50% once the work is delivered and approved. There is no unpaid work up front and no unpaid test.
Can I use generative AI in the artwork I deliver?
No. The brief lists generative AI in the final artwork, and tracing the reference, under what to avoid. The reference sheets shared in a brief are themselves AI-generated and labelled as such, and they exist only to communicate proportions, energy, weapon scale, silhouette and creature direction. The delivered artwork must be original and artist-made.
Are there content restrictions on enemy and character designs?
Yes, and it is a hard requirement rather than a taste preference: no skulls or skeletons, no demons or devils, no occult or ritual symbolism, and no gore. The game will ship in regions whose store review rejects that imagery outright.
What files do you expect on delivery?
A transparent PNG sprite sheet plus individual frames at 1x native resolution, consistent canvas size, pivot, baseline and frame order, and the editable source file (Aseprite, PSD or equivalent) when it is included in the agreed quote.
How do I contact the studio?
careers@upperintgames.com for roles and commissions, hello@upperintgames.com for press, and business@upperintgames.com for business enquiries.
Can I use the logos in an article or a video?
Yes. The press kit is a single zip with the app icon, the wordmark lockup and the master logo at full resolution, free to use in articles, videos and listings about the studio or its titles. Please do not recolor, distort or rearrange the marks.
Where are the canonical facts about the studio?
On the press kit page. The factsheet and boilerplate there may be quoted and republished as-is.
